How to Protect Yourself From Identity Theft

Identity theft probably occurs more often than you may realize. When someone gains access to your person information that is required to do major credit transactions (ie opening a line of credit or obtaining a job), someone could impersonate you in order to obtain their goal. Why would someone do this? Because there is something causing them to need to seek someone elses information in order to achieve this. I was watching Discovery ID the other day where a man was on the run and his brother obtained a fake birth certificate for him so he could obtain a passport to flee the country.

Many people seek identity theft protection to prevent something like this from happening to their personal information. A popular source to reduce the risk of this happening to you or your loved ones, IdentityHawk, among other companies can offer valuable services and advice based on your personal needs.

Is An Extended Warranty Worth the Cost?

Recently required car repairs? I have an extended warranty on my 2009 Honda Civic, but I always seem to be paying out of pocket for repair expenses.

Now please forgive my car ignorance, but is there any point to purchasing these extended warranties, or are they just a money sink?

The majority of my costs have gone to brake pads (that seem to need to be replaced every year), suspension and tires.

Sew Your Own Fashion Scrubs

People use cotton medical scrubs for many things, and they are even carried in most major department stores these days.  You can use your sewing machine to sew your own fashion scrubs, similar to those seen on http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Men/

Take your generic hospital uniform and add some style or personality to it by embroidering, cross-stitching or even fabric painting it. Let your children help with the project, and you will have a constant reminder of them throughout the day!
